Winding Down & Relaxation

After what seems like a lifetime of revision and exams, I am finally back here on my blog! So after a stressful and never ending period of work and tests, I thought it would be a great time to write about what I enjoy doing to help me wind down when I feel tense and basically exhausted!

So the first thing I will always do is to light all the candles in my room! Recently these Urban Apothecary candles have been so sweet and yummy to use as well as placing little tealights in lanterns around the room. I love doing this because as well as turning the fairy lights on, it creates such a calming ambience in the room, perfect to wind down and chill. Then I will also light some incense sticks to add to the cosy atmosphere. I've been using incense sticks from a local incense and crystal store- they smell absolutely brilliant!

Once I've made everything cosy, I will take off any makeup that I may be wearing and put on my comfy pyjamas or lounge wear. Then I'll whack my hair up into a little bun and use a nourishing face mask for my skin. I am still obsessed with the L'Oréal Pure Clay Glow mask as it always softens my skin and smells amaaazing! After rinsing the mask off, I tend to turn for skincare products that are herbal or plant based as they truly make me feel so much more relaxed. I always love using the Neals Yard Beauty Sleep Lotion, especially after a relaxed soak in the bath, as it smells lush and really softens the skin with its natural oils.
And that is what I will do to start off my relaxing evenings! Lots of love xo
