New Product Loves

I thought for todays blog post I would write about products that are new to my collection and what I have been loving about them. From fragrance to skincare, these products all make getting ready so much better!

So starting with fragrance, I have been obsessed with the 'Weekend' scent by Burberry. It's so light but smells like spring flowers in a bottle. It is definitely one of those perfumes which I don't ever want to run out! A perfect scent for daily wear wherever you're going.

The next product I have been loving is a concealer from Maybelline and it's the brilliant 'Eraser Eye Concealer'. Out of all the concealers I have ever used, this one out of them all definitely provides the highest amount of coverage, which is spot on for those who may have to deal with the curse of dark under eyes! With its little, fluffy sponge applicator, it's never been easier to get rid of my panda eyes. It's definitely a new obsession for me, and I would recommend it for absolutely anyone, especially because you're paying drugstore price for a high coverage finish.

There are another two products that I have been using for a nice glow to the face and they are the Benefit Cosmetics 'Posie Tint' and the 'Watts Up' highlighter. The tint is so beautiful and bright as well as very long lasting; it's such a perfect spring/summer shade to wear, especially if you don't feel like wearing any lipstick on your lips as the tint does not budge. To add a sparkling shimmer to my cheekbones, the cream 'Watts Up' highlighter is my absolute favourite right now to add a dewy shine to the skin instead of using a powder highlight which can sometimes appear to look too heavy and cakey. For a natural pop to the highpoints of my cheeks, I apply the product to my finger first and then gently tap and blend it on to the skin, instead of swiping it on to the skin directly to avoid any harsh lines.

Moving onto skincare, I have found the Nivea Micellar Water to be an absolute miracle worker! There is nothing worse than having clumps of mascara left on your eyes when you have taken your makeup off, but with this product, it feels great knowing that there is no mascara left sitting on my eyes and that I can remove all my makeup properly to start cleansing my skin before I go to sleep. Plus I love that the bottle is such a big size for the price you pay!

Finally, the last two products I have loved using to cleanse and tone with are the Clarins Cleansing Milk and the Toning Lotion. After using my micellar water, I start with the cleanser on a cotton pad and swipe it gently all over my face, focusing on the centre where the majority of my makeup has been. Then after the cleanser, the toner is lovely to use as a refreshing part of my skincare and both the cleanser and toner smell incredibly luscious with their beautiful natural ingredients such as alpine herbs and camomile. They are definitely worth looking into adding to your skincare routine if you haven't already!
